Vincent Galise Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tewksbury Funeral Home on Mar. 3, 2026.
Vincent "Nino" Galise, 82, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 1, 2026, at Lahey Hospital & Medical Center, surrounded by the love of his family. He was the devoted husband of Maria (Pasciuto) Galise, with whom he shared more than 57 beautiful years together.

Born on November 5, 1943, in Gaeta, Italy, Vincent was the son of the late Luigi and Immaculata (Stamegna) Galise. He came to the United States as a young boy, settling with his family in Somerville. He graduated from Somerville Trade School, where he began developing the skills that would shape his lifelong electrical career.

After graduating, Vincent was drafted into the United States Army and proudly served his country during the Vietnam War. Upon returning home, he became an electrician, eventually founding L & V Electrical Contractors, Inc., building a respected career as an electrical contractor through hard work, determination, and integrity.

Though his professional accomplishments were many, family was always at the center of his life. Vincent and Maria first knew each other as children growing up in Italy, and later during their school years in Somerville. After he returned from military service, they reunited in Somerville, married in May of 1968, and soon began the family they cherished so deeply.

Vincent was truly larger than life vibrant, strong, and full of personality. He remained active and full of energy throughout his life. He was fiercely proud to be an American and always grateful to return home after visiting his beloved Italy, where he treasured time spent with cousins and extended family.

He found joy in the simple pleasures: playing cards, especially Hearts, enjoying the horse races on weekends, and spending time with friends at the Medford Circle Club. He loved sitting on his deck with a glass of Johnnie Walker Black and a fine cigar, soaking in the sunshine. Summers on the boat off Gloucester were among his happiest moments.

Vincent and Maria raised their family in Reading before retiring to Tewksbury more than 20 years ago. Above all else, he loved his family and adored his wife, was immensely proud of his boys, and cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren.

In addition to his beloved wife, Maria, he is survived by his two sons, Louie Galise and his wife Marie Galise of Stoneham, and Vinny Galise and his wife Kathy Low of Gloucester; and his cherished grandchildren, Gina Galise of Stoneham, who lovingly called him "Nonno," and Nicholas, Isabella, and Megan Ciluffo of Gloucester.

He is also survived by his brother, Anthony Galise and his wife Teresa of Gibsonia, Pennsylvania; his brothers- and sisters-in-law, Giovanni and Teresa Pasciuto of Boca Raton, Florida, and Sandra and Anthony DiIeso of Watertown; as well as many nieces, nephews, and close friends.

Vincent will be remembered for his strength, his loyalty, his laughter, and the deep love he had for his family and friends. He truly loved life and he lived it fully.

The family wishes to acknowledge Nurse Anthony Desouza for the exceptional care, compassion, and professionalism he extended to Vinny and the entire family during Vinny's final days at Beth Israel Lahey Hospital.

A visitation for family and close friends will be held on Saturday, March 7, 2026, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m, 1 Dewey Street, Tewksbury, 978-851-2061. www.tewksburyfuneralhome.com. His funeral mass will be offered at 11:30 a.m. at St. William's Church in Tewksbury, followed by burial at St. Mary Cemetery in Tewksbury.
