SCHENECTADY – Allen P. DeNegris, 79, went home to be with his Lord & Savior Jesus Christ, on Sunday, October 19, 2025 at Ellis Hospital, after a sudden illness.
Allen was born in Schenectady, the son of the late Pasquale and Tillie Serapilio DeNegris. He graduate from Linton High School and worked for the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles in Albany, retiring after 35 years of service. After retirement, Allen worked for his dear friends at Morrette’s Steak House, as a meat cutter.
Allen loved living in downtown Schenectady, where everything he needed was just a walk away, including Boulevard Bowl, where he bowled for years in the Galaxy League and proudly rolled two perfect 300 games. He was a kind and faithful Christian, a devoted son, a loving brother, and a true friend to all who knew him.
Allen is survived by his sister; Judith ‘Judy’ DeNegris; cousins, Gloria (Donn) Gooley, Patricia (Skip) Siary and Jim Serapilio; best friends, Chip DiCerbo and Butch Miller; several cousins and friends also survive.
Private Services will be held for Allen, with Fr. Thomas Morrette, officiating. Interment will follow in St. Anthony’s Cemetery.
