Dear Gail and Family, We are sorry that we were unable to attend services. Our relationship with your family came mostly from our son Rick's friendship with Kurt, but recently we saw you once in a while in Florida. Please accept our deepest and most sincere sympathy in your loss. We knew Jack to be a wonderful person who will certainly be missed by many people.

I've been struggling to find the right words to say. My heart is heavy, I share in your mourning as we process the loss of a great man. And Jack was great. He was uniquely and wonderfully himself and I was truly blessed to have known him and his family for more than 48 years.
Many memories and moments that shaped my life...all started with Mary and I on Grieb Road and that led me to Matthew's Printing, my first job.
Jack was endearingly special to me. All the time keeping a paternal-like eye on me at 'the shop', and when I moved to California in 1984, he made me feel that he'd never stop keeping an eye on me. Far apart in miles but close in heart as he continued over these years to still call me his "turkey", a nickname he gave me in my early days at 'the shop'.
Absolutely the best man and family to have embraced me early on in my teenage years and fortunate it has carried me to today in my 60's.
Thank you, Jack, for your love and friendship and support and the gazillion pizza dinners on Friday nights on Grieb Road. Keep an eye on all of us from heaven, we'll look to the sky and see you there. "Well done, good and faithful servant!"
Gail, Dean, Kurt, Marc and families, my heart goes out to each of you. I love you all so much and am so very sorry for your loss. Jack loved you the most and that was clear in all he did every day of his life. Thank you for sharing him with us. Take care of your hearts...and know that's where he lives...as 'home is where the heart is'.

A loving husband, a generous father, a valued friend, and the best garden manicurist that I ever have known. I think weeds feared him with his cutting blade that created edges on flower beds to be worthy of Versailles. Jack traveled with my international tours and was always the best dressed along with his prized Gail....I especially recall a safari where Jack and Gail looked like they just walked out of Saks 5th Ave! Whether it was a crisp shirt or a cocktail- Jack was ALWAYS neat. I missed our holidays parties with the Parks due to Covid worries, but Gail always sent a note from both of them, to keep in touch and offer prayers. Now I offer my prayers to them in this very difficult time. I know that I am a better man for having known the DeNegris Family. ..until we meet again, God Bless.

For many years I remember hearing, "well, that's Jack." And I figured out quickly that he was a man who was true to himself - he was who he was! To me, he was a father figure, an adviser, a fun guy and a dear, dear friend. Jack (and Gail) were always two people that I loved being around - for my whole life! They have been so instrumental in shaping the person that I am today. I have fond memories of time spent on Grieb Road with Dean, Kurt and Marc (my adopted brothers!) and time spent at the several Hotchkiss Grove houses and then in Cheshire and again in Florida - I retired to West Palm Beach and they were in Hutchinson Island - I loved it! Actually, in the last 8 years, I saw more of them in Florida than in Connecticut. Jack never seemed to mind that I was around so much - it was a compliment to the highest degree when he would say, "you again!" followed by a huge embrace, a classic "Jack smirk" and a kiss on the cheek. We did adopt each other for over 50 years and shared a mutual respect, admiration and love for each other even as I "grew up." It is one thing to be a favorite teenage babysitter, it is another to be a 60+ year old woman and feel more loved. He made me feel special every time I was with him. Yes, THAT WAS JACK. Rest in peace dear Jack. I'll be with Gail having coffee until we all meet again. Thank you for being YOU. xo
