Allen Dale Eldred

Mr. Allen Dale Eldred, 90, passed away Thursday, January 1, 2026. Mr. Eldred was born in Greenfield, MA on October 6, 1935, to the late Herman F. Eldred. Marjorie Allen Eldred.

Allen was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and uncle. He graduated from Drury High School in North Adams, Massachusetts, Class of 1953. He spent four years in the US. Navy. He would go on to live in Vermont, as well as Florida for 36 years and Franklin for 17 years. He had a great sense of humor and loved music. As a musician he played with the Dixieland Bands at ski resorts in Vermont, along with other venues in central Florida. He also loved football, especially the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Mr. Eldred is survived by his wife of 68 years, Valerie Eldred; his son, Craig Eldred (Lilli); his grandchildren, Joshua Cannon, Jeremy Cannon, and Christopher Eldred; eleven great grandchildren, Baily, Kaleb, Madison, Valerie, Iselin, Cullen, King, Halo, Carter, Cassidy, and Carson; as well as many nieces and nephews, who called him "Uncle Pinky".

In addition to his parents, Allen was preceded in death by his daughter, Belinda Cannon; a grandson, Jonathon Cannon; and his siblings, Dana Eldred, David Eldred, Lawerence Eldred, and Judith Belisle.
