Waynesville- Allen Sandy Ivester, age 60, died on Friday, November 26, 2010 at his residence. A native and lifelong resident of Haywood County, he was born March 4, 1950 to the late Ernest C. and Neil Ann Allen Ivester. Sandy was a member of Crossroads Assembly of God Church. He is survived by a brother, Bill Red Ivester and his wife, Ann; one niece Kristy Sorrells and her husband, Dusty; one nephew Clay Ivester and his wife, Cary. Sandy is also survived by nine great nieces and nephews; one God daughter, Debrinia Mehaffey; and two great God daughters, Harmony and Jurnee Connor. Graveside services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, November 29, 2010 at Bon-A-Venture Cemetery on Old Clyde Road with the Reverend J. Michael Brown officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Crossroads Assembly of God Church, 20 South Bear Creek Road, Asheville, NC 28806.
