Allen Leab Obituary
He was born in Pittsfield, to the late Roswell E. Leab and Elizabeth Allen Leab.
Allen graduated in 1960, with an Associates Degree in Arboriculture, from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture. He was honorably discharged from the U. S. Marine Corp. in 1958.
Most recently he was employed as a Sexton at the First Congregational Church in Williamstown, MA, prior he was employed as the building maintenance manager at Jiminy Peak.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Carolyn Leab: father of Tammy (Michael) LaPointe, Katherine McKeen, Valerie (Robert Tomaskowicz) Leab, and Allen Patrick (Donna) Leab; plus 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother David Leab.
In keeping with Allen's wishes, there will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Berkshire Humane Society in care of Dery-Foley Funeral Home, 890 E. Main St. Dalton, MA 01226

Mrs. Leab, Tammy, Kathy, Valerie and Pat,
I am so sorry for your loss. I have so many memories of Mr. Leab - from family gatherings or work at Jiminy Peak. He was always a happy and cheerful (except when my father put a skunk in this truck).
I hope your memories of happy times will ease the sadness you may feel.

My condolences to the family. I worked with Allen at Jiminy. I had an interest in growing roses and the plants around the buildings were always so beautiful.. he was kind enough to give me guidance and some great tips leading to many years of growing my own roses. He was a kind man who worked so hard.
