Allen Wayne Madison, a proud veteran, devoted husband, and beloved patriarch, passed away surrounded by family and love on Sunday, October 12, 2025. He was a man of quiet strength, generous spirit, and unwavering dedication to both country and kin. Born to Byram Lee Madison and Oma Irene Madison, September 14, 1934, he grew up with deep roots in family and service. He answered the call of duty with honor, serving our country for 23 years across three major conflicts-World War II (stationed in Berlin), the Korean War, and the Vietnam War. As an E-7, Master Sergeant, he served as a Flight Engineer and Load Master aboard the C-141 Starlifter, performing countless roles with skill and humility. After retiring from military service, he continued his journey as the proud owner of Double Eagle Trucking, where his work ethic and leadership left a lasting mark. Yet it was his love of golf that revealed his lighter side-his passion for the game was known by all who knew him, and his joy on the green was infectious. He was preceded in death by his parents, Byram and Oma Madison; his sisters, Ina Bee Blackwell and Jimmie Tatum; his brothers, George, Gary, and James Madison; and grandchildren Amelia Madison, Elizabeth Brown, and Joseph Oliva. He is survived by his loving wife of 38 years, Aurea V. Madison, and his children: Justina and Michael Brown of Bastrop, LA; Michael Madison of San Antonio, TX; Tami Madison of Monroe, LA; Elliott and Mary Oliva of Falls Church, VA; and Tracy Madison of San Antonio, TX. His legacy continues through his grandchildren: Justina Brown; April Carson (Nick) and Jack Brown (Christine) of Tucson, AZ; Michael Madison and Michelle Madison (Louis) of San Antonio, TX; BJ Bryan (Laura) of Monroe, La, and Allison Craighead (Nick) of Spring, TX; Elliott Oliva (Mary), Isabella and Lucas Oliva of Falls Church, VA; Tracy Madison (Lindsey), Jaden Madison of West Virginia and Kendall Madison of San Antonio, TX. He also leaves behind great-grandchildren Stephen, Aaron, and Roderick Carson; Claudia and James Bryan; and Canaan and Hayes Craighead-along with a host of extended family and cherished friends. He will be remembered for his kindness, his generosity, and the steadfast love he gave to those around him. His life was a testament to service, strength, and the quiet joy of a well-hit golf ball. A Funeral Service will be held at Church in the Wildwood, 227 Charter Oak Dr, Canyon Lake, Texas, on Monday, October 20, 2025, at 4:00 pm, officiated by Pastor John Massey (retired). A private interment will be held at Ft. Sam Houston National Cemetery on Tuesday, October 21, 2025.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be made to Church in the Wildwood, in Mr. Madison's honor.
