He was born in Norwalk on June 7, 1935 to the late Edward and Jeanne Martin.
Allen was successfully self employed for many years and enjoyed boating, woodworking and spending time with his family and animals.
In addition to his wife of 65 years, Allen is survived by his son, Scott Martin and daughter Kathryn Ann Echevarria. He is also survived by his brother Norman Martin, niece Denise and nephew David.
Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 13 from 3 to 5pm, with a brief prayer service at 5pm at Collins Funeral Home located at 92 East Avenue, Norwalk.
Contributions can be made to St, Judes or Shriners.
