Allen Olson Obituary
Health in Baudette, MN. Allen was born to Edwin Erick Olson and Evelyn Leila Olson
(Brown) on June 4, 1943, in the Spooner Township, Lake of the Woods, MN. He grew
up on a family-owned farm approximately 15 miles south of Baudette, MN, along the
North Branch Rapid River. He began his hard-work ethics at an early age working the
family farm, an ethic that lasted his lifetime. Allen worked as an expert roofing contractor
for about 55 years, a career he pursued until age 79. Roofing was more than a career; it
was his passion, and he enjoyed every day he was able to enhance the aesthetics of a
client's home.
Allen contributed to the growth and development of 4-generations of descendants
through decades of hard work and devotion to family. Allen is survived in death by his
spouse Eileen Ann Olson of Baudette, MN, his daughter Sherry Renee Moore of
Baudette, MN, as well as 4-grandchildren; Natasha Jo Rojas of Canton, IL, Valentino
Jason Escarcega of Manteca, CA, Alexa Kimberly Rojas of Baudette, MN, and Brandon
Adam Lara of Saint Paul Park, MN. Allen is also survived by 10-great grandchildren and
2-great-great grandchildren. Allen is also survived in death by his brother, Carrol Merlyn
Olson of Indianapolis, IN, and 2 sisters, Thais Lynette Park and Valda Elaine Nebus of
Baudette, MN. Allen is preceded in death by 2 brothers, Leonard Elmer Turnmire, Lyle
Edwin Olson, and 2 sisters, Dorothy Evelyn Nendel, and Patricia Louise Turnmire.
Allen was appointed as an elder within the Seventh Day Adventist church in Warroad,
MN, where he served as a spiritual leader guiding and caring for the congregation. Allen
will be remembered for his devotion to family, hard work, wisdom, spiritualism, and love
for the community. Allen will be cremated and burial plans at Wildwood Cemetery in
Williams, MN, will be established at a later date.
