Allen Daniel Renfeldt passed away on April 9, 2023, in his home. Allen was born on August 23, 1973, to Suzanne Darr and Daniel LaFevre (Renfeldt). He graduated from Hesperia High School in 1991 and went on to study computer science at Snow College.
After graduating with a degree from Snow College, he and his family moved to Salt Lake County, Utah where he began working at DAZ 3D, as tech support, in 2004. While at DAZ 3D Allen began teaching himself the art of 3D modeling, character rigging and UV Mapping and he eventually became the Director of Product Development. He worked at DAZ 3D for 18+ years. Allen was able to travel across the world, teaching his skills, in places like Australia, Amsterdam, London, and more. Allen made some incredible friendships and was a great asset to the company. Later, Allen began working at Cirque Corporation, as Quality Assurance Lab Manager, in June of 2022 and quickly began loving the work that he was doing and the people that he worked with. Allen felt valued during his employment at Cirque Corporation, and they all loved his work ethic, but also this happy personality that he brought to their team.
In July of 1993, Allen met his wife, Jessica, in Hesperia California. They went on to have 3 children, Myranda Myrlene, Claryssa Antionette, and Madilyn LaNon.
Those who knew Allen will always remember him for his large stature, his genius IQ, his larger-than-life personality, his many hobbies (biking, boating, woodworking, photography, scuba, art, and computers to name just a few), being the life of the party, his enormous bear hugs, his beautiful smile, and a dimple that melted the hearts of everyone he knew. Allen grew up in California and had a big love for the ocean and spent many days doing his homework on the beach in San Clemente. When he married Jessica Anne Turner on July 1, 1994 and moved to Richfield, Utah, Allen’s love for the ocean was quickly replaced by a love for boating. He loved boating on Lake Powell, where he and his family would spend a week camping on the beach and enjoying the lake, each summer, making beautiful memories to last a lifetime. Allen also loved Costa Rica and he brought his family there a handful of times where they ate “pizza” during a rainstorm in the middle of the jungle, learned to surf, ran from 5lb toads, and slept in beautiful mansions (because, of course, he made friends everywhere he went). The love for Costa Rica ran so deep that he and Jessica bought property in hopes of retiring there one day, but ultimately had to sell it to pay for medical bills.
Allen loved his family fiercely, and they meant more than anything else to him. He was so proud of his girls and everything they did. Allen’s sometimes abrasive and inappropriate, yet hilarious, sense of humor rubbed off on the three of them and it’s gotten them through a lot of adversity in life. He was at every birth, was there for all their firsts, never missed a birthday or graduation, and ran the girls to Urgent Care for broken arms and stiches on multiple occasions. Allen loved Jessica and they really enjoyed traveling together to places like Alaska, Mexico, Costa Rica, Las Vegas, Miami, and the Florida Keys. When Jessica was diagnosed with cancer in 2016, Allen was devastated, but he took the best of care of her to ensure she had everything she needed to fight as hard as she could to survive. She never felt more loved by Allen than during that time of their marriage. Allen and Jessica separated in April of 2021, but remained good friends, checked in on each other almost every day, bounced things off each other and made family their #1 priority. His family celebrated Sunday Funday, every week, which included dinner, realty T.V., a movie, cuddling on the couch, laughter, music, and Allen singing and dancing to La Bamba on multiple occasions (we have proof). They were together every holiday and were making plans for future vacations.
In 2017, Allen’s family gained a fur baby named Peaches. Allen and Peaches were quite the pair. Just picture Allen, a big burley bald man and Peaches, a sweet little feminine 10-pound Yorkie. Allen was Peaches’ person in this life, and he was so in-love with her. He gave her several nicknames like “sweetie” and “honey” and spoke them as if she were a little baby or child. She loved spending every weekend at his home and somehow knew when it was Friday and waited for him at the front bay window of his family’s home until he arrived. Seeing the two of them greet each other, after a 5-day separation, was about the most adorable thing one could ever witness. Peaches was with Allen, never leaving his side at his time of death, and she will miss her papa very much.
Allen also loved his friends. If you were his friend, you know he was incredibly loyal. He never judged anyone and loved people for who they were and where they were in their journey. He always loved a good party, and you could always find him in the corner garnishing all the attention due to his boisterous personality and animated stories fueled by the liquid courage held in his hand.
Allen is survived by his wife Jessica and his three beautiful daughters, Myranda, Claryssa and Madilyn, brother: Richard Renfeldt, Mother: Suzanne Darr-Renfeldt-Lee, Father Daniel LaFevre (Renfeldt) and many uncles, aunts, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Allen was never one for funerals because he thought that they were sad and should, instead, be a happy celebration, but he ALWAYS loved a good BBQ so, at a future date to be announced, we will be hosting a big BBQ bash for all of Allen’s friends and family to celebrate this big hearted man who will be greatly missed by so many.

I have been the Renfeldt's realtor. We had so much fun looking at homes. Allen's sense of humor kept us going even when we were exhausted. Years later we sold that home and searched all over again. Allen hasn't changed a bit. I loved watching him with his family. He was always hugging them and listening to what they thought ab't the homes we were seeing. During this time I knew the family would be lifelong friends. When Jessica got cancer I kept her and their family in my prayers. I was eager to read the updates. I know Allen was a first class caretaker. I've watched the girls grow up before my eyes. The little girls I met years ago are now beautiful young women. This family has really been important to me... not as mere clients... but more like family/ friends. I will miss seeing all the fabulous pix of Allen and his girls on fb. He will be missed by so many... me included. Please keep me posted ab't the BBQ. I wouldn't want to miss that party! Love, Candy Probert

Allen,
Although our interaction was brief, I wanted to take a moment to let you know that you made an impact on me. Your kindness and warmth will not be forgotten. You will be missed, and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your loved ones during this difficult time.

I knew Allen for less than a year, but he quickly became one of my favorite coworkers. His friendly and energetic personality and his sense of humor were evident even on the days when the work was extra demanding. He was always eager to help, contributed great insights, and his positive attitude made the days better for everyone that worked with him. I wish I'd had the opportunity to get to know him more. He will be missed.

What a great tribute to an amazing man. Though my time with Allen was short, it was memorable. I could always count on Allen to help me with my needs at work and enjoy a great lunch buddy with great conversations. Grateful to have known Allen. My condolences to you, his family. He was a great family man. I know Allen is still there just not seen. In our hearts and in our lives forever. Till we all meet again.
