Allen B. Shissler, III, of Elizabethtown, died Saturday, May 4, 2024 at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown. He was the husband of the late Patricia (Shank) Shissler who died in 2003. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Allen M. II and Alda L. (Bixler) Shissler. Allen was a pressman for Continental Press, Elizabethtown before retiring. He attended West Greentree Church of the Brethren. His hobbies included fishing, camping, being outdoors, boating, water skiing, splitting wood, and fixing and painting cars.
Surviving is a son Allen J., husband of Tracy Shissler, Elizabethtown; a daughter Michele, wife of Roger Powl, Elizabethtown; 4 grandchildren; Jennifer, wife of Zachary Walker, Allen Michael Shissler, Amanda Powl and Mitchell Powl; 4 great-grandchildren; Kinsley, Morgan, Remi, Greyson; and one sister Lucille Buckley, Eastview, KY. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Louise Lanz.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend Allen’s funeral service at the John S. Sell Memorial Chapel at Masonic Village, Elizabethtown, on Wednesday, May 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM. Interment will be in East Donegal Cemetery. There will be a viewing at Sell Chapel from 10:00 AM until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Allen’s memory may be sent to Masonic Village Hospice, 98 Masonic Drive, Suite 101, Elizabethtown, PA 17022 or Alzheimer’s Association, 2595 Interstate Dr. Suite 100, Harrisburg, PA 17110
