Allen Strickland Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Whiddon-Shiver Funeral Home on Jun. 17, 2024.
Allen Jay Strickland, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away on June 16, 2024, at the age of 57, after an inspiring and courageous eight-year battle with cancer. Born on August 30, 1966, Allen lived a life marked by dedication, hard work, and love for his family.
A master electrician by trade, Jay's career was a testament to his unwavering work ethic and entrepreneurial spirit. He founded and operated several successful businesses throughout his life, each reflecting his commitment to excellence and his innovative mind. Jay's professional achievements were many, but his most cherished role was that of "Pop Pop" to his grandchildren.
Jay was a man of many passions. He loved traveling, cruising, hunting, fishing, cheering for FSU football, and cuddling his French Bulldog, Maddie. His adventures and hobbies were a reflection of his zest for life and his desire to explore the world around him. Despite the challenges he faced, Jay never stopped learning, working, and fighting, embodying a strength and resilience that inspired everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Regina Nauditt, his loving children Haley Mimbs (Ryne), Lauren Strickland, Louis Nauditt (Meg), Jeffery Nauditt (Emily), Samuel Nauditt (Brayley). Jay's legacy lives on through his grandchildren, Aiden and Amelia Mimbs, Rhett and Torben Nauditt, Nora, Isaiah, Maggie and Abraham Nauditt, and Silas Nauditt, who brought immense joy and pride to his life. He is also survived by his father, Ronnie Strickland (Linda) his siblings, Rick Strickland (Sherry), Keith Strickland, and Brandy McElhaney (Clint) and numerous other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his loving mother, Virginia Strickland.
Jay was a man who always put others first, ensuring the well-being and happiness of those around him. His strength and love were constants in the lives of his family and friends. Now, he rests in the arms of Jesus, finally being taken care of after a life spent caring for others.
A funeral service to celebrate Jay's life will be held at Victory Baptist Church on June 23rd at 2pm.
Allen Jay Strickland will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, hard work, and dedication will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.
