Allene Masiongale, age 89, of Byrdstown, TN, passed away on October 15, 2025, at Livingston Regional Hospital.
Born in Byrdstown, TN, Allene lived her entire life in the community she loved. She dedicated over 40 years of her life to the Sutton Shirt Factory and later retired from Osh Kosh. Outside of work, she found great joy in her garden, tending her flowers, spending time with her family, and most of all, reading her Bible.
A devoted member of Calvary Bible Church since its founding in 1965, Allene took great pride in being the church's oldest member. Her faith was central to her life and a source of strength and comfort throughout the years.
She is preceded in death by her beloved husband, J.L. Masiongale, her parents Baxter and Nealie Storie, her daughter Sharon Kaye, son-in-law Chuck O' Gorman, grandson Samuel Wade Hatfield, and brothers Gamiel Storie and Delbert Storie, sister-in-law Ruth Storie, brothers in law Perry Carlton and Phil Leak.
Allene is survived by daughter Judy O'Gorman, granddaughter Angela (John) Thompson, three great-grandchildren, Shelby (Michael), Wesley and Amanda, and one great-great-grandson, Rowan.
She is also survived by her sisters Lois Carlton of Lebanon, TN, and Rhonda Leak of Marrowbone, KY; brothers Ralph (Gladys) Storie of Spring City, TN, and Richard (Rita) Storie of Lebanon, TN; along with sister-in-law Que Storie and many much-loved nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th from 10:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Calvary Bible Church, with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. with Bro. Renny Ross and Bro. Travis Simpson officiating, burial to immediately follow in the Clark Cemetery.
Allene will be remembered for her unwavering faith, her deep love for family, and the quiet strength she brought to all who knew her.
