Allie May Brown

Allie May Brown passed away November 18, 2021, In Fairfax County, VA at the age of 94. She was born in Marston, NC, December 7, 1926. She was predeceased by her husband, Dr. Joshua R. C. Brown, and her sister, Florence Louise Hill. Survivors include her daughter, Sallie Louise Lyons, and granddaughter Savanna May Lyons. Allie May enjoyed a career in the University of Maryland Zoology Department, and was active in Riverdale Presbyterian Church. She is remembered for her kindness, wit, intellect, and grace. Visitation will be held at Gasch's Funeral Home, P.A., 4739 Baltimore Avenue, Hyattsville, MD on Sunday, November 28th, from 2pm to 6pm. Internment Fort Lincoln Cemetery, Monday, November 29, at noon. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Doctors Without Borders or Capital Area Food Bank.
