Allison Bosa Okechukwu Mora, beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, elder, and friend, passed away on May 9th, 2025, after a brief illness. He was 81.
Allison was born in 1943 to Edna née Aghanya Morah and Chief Benjamin Justin Morah of Achalla Village in Enugwu Agidi, Njikoka local government Anambra State, in Onitsha. His father was a prominent businessman and his mother was a homemaker. In 1966 Alison left Nigeria to study in London. In 1967, at the start of the Biafran War, he decided to continue his studies in the United States after a summer visit.
Allison studied accounting at Central State University in Dayton, Ohio and received a BS in 1970. He met his future wife Ojinika née Ibekwe Mora in 1972 and in 1981 they married. Over their 44 year marriage, they raised eight children. Allison worked as an accountant for a decade with the State of Ohio Department of Health as a CPA and CIA. After retirement, he went into private practice. Allison loved piano, music, drawing, reading, plants, and his family. His favorite psalm was Psalm 23, The Lord is My Shepherd, and he let God lead his steps every day of his life.
Allison Bosa Okechukwu Mora is survived by his wife Ojinika Mora, his eight children, his six grandchildren, his brothers Ogbogu Mora, Nnamdi Mora, Ogbonnia Mora, Obumneme Mora, Nnaemeka Morah, Chinwuba Mora, Oseloka Mora, Orakwue Mora and sisters Josephine Mora, Uchenna Mora, Njideka Mora, Adaora Mora, Nkoli Mora, and the Mora/h and Ibekwe f families. He was preceded in death by his parents, Chief B.J. and Edna Morah, and his elder brothers Okwudili Morah and Samuel O. Morah and his sister Azuka Mora.
Allison Mora's Celebration of Life Service will take place at Saint Catharine Catholic Church on June 28th, 2025 at 3:15PM in person. The family asks that, as by Nigerian tradition, no black clothing is worn. As it is a celebration of life, please wear bright colors.
