Obituary published on Legacy.com by Ferreira Funeral Services and Archie Tanner Memorial Chapel (Starke) on Mar. 16, 2026.
Alma Delia Garcia Acuna, age 59, of Guerrero, Mexico passed away on March 15, 2026, at UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville, Florida. She was born in Guerrero, Mexico on September 7, 1966, to her loving parents, Pedro Garcia Ocampo and Ernestina Garcia Acuna. Following her schooling, Alma dedicated many years to her career as a Housekeeper. Alma, was the heart and the core of her entire family - a truly caring, selfless, and strong woman who always put others before herself. She worked so hard throughout her life and took care of her four children with unconditional love and dedication. No matter what, she made sure her family was protected and provided for. She was always looking out for others, often caring more than she should. She made sure everyone was okay, that they had what they needed, and that they felt supported. Helping others brought her joy. She loved going to yard sales, searching for the best little treasures and good discounts. Alma loved dancing and music - she was the life of the party, always making sure everyone around her was having a good time. Her smile could light up an entire room, and just seeing it could make anyone's day. Her laugh was unforgettable. She loved cooking for her family, always making sure everyone was fed and taken care of. After school, when all her grandkids came home, she made sure there was always a meal ready and a cozy home waiting for them. She loved watching her TV shows, especially her game shows with her son, Daniel - both of them yelling at the TV together. She adored her children and grandchildren more than anything. Family meant everything to her. She cared for her own mother dearly and cherished spending time and going places with her loved ones. She had the biggest heart and was such a strong woman. She will forever remain the foundation of her family, and her love will continue to guide. She will be deeply missed and forever loved. Alma will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her. She was preceded in death by her father, Pedro Garcia Ocampo.

Alma is survived by her mother, Ernestina Garcia Acuna; children, Daniel, Ana, Francisco, Luis, Daniella; grandchildren, Jacqueline, Julie, Alexander, Jencarlos, Alexis, Karen, Kristian, Carolina, Damian, Jaziel and Thiago; along with several extended family members and friends whom she dearly loved.
