Alma enjoyed volunteering her time with the Midland MI Civitan Club and the Literacy Council where she taught adults to read. As her own mother aged and eventually needed care, she volunteered at the Kings Daughters' including running their Christmas Closet and helping organize celebrations. So sorry to hear about Alma. Realized that I had no response to Christmas card and calls to her phone and now know why. Knew Alma and Dale since 1957 while teaching at Midland Sr. High and have stayed in touch through her days in Hemet with Joe. She was a very good friend.
