Alma Mae Liebert of Seymour, age 79, a native of Vallonia, Indiana and a resident of Seymour, Indiana, passed away peacefully in her sleep surrounded by her family on Sunday, September 22, 2024 at Schneck Medical Center. She was born on July 16, 1945 to the late Lewis Bowers and the late Mary (Robinson) Bowers. She married the love of her life, and husband of 24 years, Gael Liebert, on July 24, 1985. Alma enjoyed watching Wheel of Fortune and Price is Right. She spent every morning at the Townhouse Cafe with a coffee in her hand. She was adventurous and enjoyed family trips with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life.
Alma is survived by her three sons, Kevin Anderson of Seymour, Indiana, Tracy Anderson of Seymour, Indiana and Joey Knight and his wife Maria of Seymour, Indiana. Three daughters, Kim Hatton of Spencer, Tuwana Simpson and her husband Frankie of Seymour, Indiana and Teresa Thompson of Seymour, Indiana. 13 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sons David Anderson and Troy Knight, two sisters Melvina Terry and Almeda Lange. Two brothers Junior Bowers and Jerry Bowers. Also her best friend Ernie Ball.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 11:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Christensen Family Funeral Home - Seymour Chapel with funeral services beginning at 2:00 PM. Bro Gary Dyer will officiate. She will be laid to rest at New Hope Cemetery in Pumpkin Center, Indiana.
The family requests that memorials be directed to Schneck Hospice.
