MRS. ALMA WATTS was born November 20, 1953 in Laurel, MS to the late Ms. Arve Smith. She was married to Mr. Clinton Watts and was employed as a teacher's assistant in the Richton School District until she retired.
Mrs. Watts liked to fish in her spare time. On the morning of September 14, 2024, she was called to her eternal journey.
She is survived by her husband, Clinton Watts; two daughters: Fanesha Terrell and Baleana (Gary) Watts-McGilvery; son: Dural (Tasheba) Simpson; granddaughter: Kelsey Terrell; grandson: Desmond Merrill; four sisters in law: Jeannie (Harry Jones) Bolton, Oma (Edgar) Hibbler, Deloris (Tommy Lee) Hinton, and Panola Watts; one brother in law: Garland Watts, and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her mother, Arve Smith Shaw, she was preceded in death by her brother, Johnnie Earl Smith.
Funeral services will take place Sunday, September 22, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Nazareth Cemetery in Richton, MS, with Pastor Walter Moore as the officiant. The viewing period will be held Sunday, September 22, 2024 from 1:45 PM until 2:00 PM at Nazareth Cemetery.
