Alonzo James Latimore (Latt) passed away at the age of 75 at his home Monday, March 23, 2026 in Winston-Salem North Carolina.
He was born August 25, 1950 in Uniontown, Alabama. He moved to Buffalo, New York for job opportunities. He worked several jobs until he became employed by the NFTA Metro where he worked for 30 years. Alonzo enjoyed playing basketball, fishing, woodwork, biking, and spending time with family and friends.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his eldest son, Mack Hill.
Alonzo leaves to cherish his memory, his wife of 53 years Peggy Latimore, his children, Lorenzo “Trent” Broadnax (wifeAmy), and Keshia Latimore. His grandchildren Mykeel Latimore, Brooklyn Wallace Trisha Davis, Tina Davis, Mack Hill Junior, Mackai Hill, Denisha Hill, his sister Hanna White, and Josie Boyer, his brother Robert Latimore, as well as a host of great grandchildren, nieces, nephews family, and friends.
A memorial service will be held at a later date Hayworth-Miller Silas Creek Chapel of Winston Salem, NC is assisting the family online condolences may be shared at www.hayworth-miller.com
