Alta Marie Collick

Alta Marie Hughes Winchester Collick was born in Camden-Wyoming, Delaware, on February 20, 1930. She departed this life on April 17, 2025. Alta earned her high school diploma at Vo-Tech in Woodside, Delaware.
Alta was successfully employed as a Teacher's Aide for the State of Delaware, Department of Health, from 1977 to 1993, which is when she retired.
Early in life, Alta was a member of Bethuel in Dover, Delaware, and later joined Mt. Carmel Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Harrington, Delaware. Over the years, she held several offices, but can be remembered best for her work as a Deaconess.
In her spare time, Alta enjoyed reading and cooking. One of her best creations was her famous cinnamon buns with pecans. They were so delicious!
Alta was married to William Elbert Winchester, and later married Reginald Collick, a union which lasted for more than 38 years.
Alta leaves to mourn two sons, Curtis Winchester and William Winchester (Gwen), both of Felton, Delaware; grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Alta was a kind and gentle person whose mission in life was to help others.
