Altheria Delores Dennis

Mrs. Altheria Delores Dennis, a native of

Mobile, AL, peacefully transitioned to be with

our Lord and Savior on Monday, August 4,

2025 with her daughter, Kimberly at her

bedside. Mrs. Dennis was born May 3, 1941 to

the late Lucille Guy Cowsett and Carlie Guy.

As a child she was a member of Aimwell

Baptist Church in Mobile, AL, where she

confessed Christ as an early age.

Mrs. Dennis had a kind and gentle spirit that led

her to become a caregiver for many years. She

loved her profession and her patients. She was

also a wonderful homemaker and loved cooking

and planting flowers in her yard. She was

naturally talented at making gift baskets and

floral arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husband,

Damon L. Dennis, Sr.; her mother, Lucille Guy

Cowsett; father, Carlie Guy; sister, Dorothy Jean

Smith; and her brother, Robert Guy.

Mrs. Dennis leaves to cherish her legacy and precious memories,

two devoted daughters: Angela L. Wright and Kimberly (Roy)

Means; one sister, Vera (Benjamin) Ringold; two granddaughters:

Chelsea Means and Taylor Means; one great-

grandson, Aaryn Richardson; two nieces:

Valencia (Armond) Todd and Ashley Ringold;

two great-nieces: Madison (Tim) Martin and

Morgan Todd; three great-nephews: Dave,

Benjamin and Ashton Jenkins; Goddaughter,

Kenyetta Brown and her sons, Karter, Karson and

King; special friends: Ann Dooms, Rhonda

Burroughs and Alice; special neighbors: Guido,

Gabby, Melissa & Max Rath; and host of other

family and friends.
