Foster Funeral and Cremation Center - Webster CityAlton Crim, 95, of Webster City died Sunday, August 17, 2025 at Crestview Nursing and Rehabilitation. A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 6, 2025 at American Legion Post #191 in Webster City followed by a time of fellowship with family and friends. Foster Funeral and Cremation Center is caring for Alton and his family.
Alton Edgar Crim, son of Edgar and Opal Westrum Crim, was born August 14, 1930 in Stratford. He graduated from Stratford High School in 1948. He served in the United States Marines from 1951 – 1953. Alton was united in marriage to Janice Lucille Sinclair on May 18, 1958 in Boone. Prior to his retirement, he worked many years for Batcheller Transfer, Mormon Feed, Electrolux, State Liquor Store and Frigidaire. Alton proudly volunteered with Boy Scout Troop #17 for over 20 years. Alton loved to fish, taking many trips to Canada on family fishing expeditions. He and Janice spent their time bowling, camping and traveling with their dream trips to Australia, New Zealand and Alaska.
He is survived by his children, Corey (Carol) Crim of Bellevue, NE, Marnia (Ed) Crawford of Blairsburg, Colin (Rhonda) Crim of Boone; grandchildren; Amanda Wright, Kayla Crawford, Sarah (Blake) Craw, Cassidy (Alex) Kokjohn and Ashley (Cody) Kelchen and five great-grandchildren Benjamin, Ava, Lincoln, Amelia and Kellan.
Alton was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Janice in 2006; his parents; brother, Vincel Crim and sisters, Lois Davis and Virginia Duecker.
Memorials may be given in Alton's memory to the Webster City Boy Scout's Troop #17.
