Alton A. Gayle

Alton Adrain Gayle, 74, was born on October 21, 1951, in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, to Isolene and James Gayle.
In his formative years, Alton attended Giddy Hall All Age Primary School. He later met and married his wife, Calmeneta, in May of 1992 before moving from Jamaica to the United States. After establishing himself there, he dedicated himself to service and excellence as a building service worker at North Jersey Developmental Center and North Jersey Hospital, eventually retiring after his long years of service.
Alton proudly lived in Paterson, New Jersey, until moving to Georgia in the fall of 2021.
He was a faithful member of the Faith Temple Church of God of Prophecy for over 20 years, which is why returning to the church for his celebration of life is significant for him and his wife. Those who had the pleasure of knowing Alton saw his commitment, courtesy, and pride in everything he did. He was loved by everyone he met and made a lasting impression on many hearts throughout his life.
His memory will live on through his loving wife, Calmeneta; stepchildren, who he treated as his own: Paul, Shernett, and Angela; along with sons-in-law: Everton and Desmond; grandchildren: Anthony, Latoya, Tremaine, Naason, Paul Jr., Elijah, Jamilah, Ayesha, Adrian, Malcolm; eleven great grandchildren; one great-great-grandson; two sisters: Iris and Rosilee and a host of nieces, nephews, close church members and friends.
