Alva Catherine LaCroix

Alva Catherine (Kitty) (Herchenrader) La Croix, 81, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by her devoted family on Wednesday, October 8, 2025. She was a loving and dedicated mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her family was her greatest joy and she will be missed by all who knew her. Kitty was apostolic by faith and was a member of Calvery Apostolic Church in Jeffersonville, Indiana. She is preceded in death by her husband; Eric Lacroix, her parents; Jim and LaVerne Herchenrader, brothers; Bill, Walter, Pat and Jimmy Herchenrader, sisters; Sandra Kraemer, Evelyn Kinley and Elizabeth Herchenrader and son-in-law; Larry T. Lathem, Jr. Kitty leaves five generations of family to cherish her memory, including her children; Joyce (Alan) Thompson, Marvin (Pam) Berry, Anna Lathem, Tim LaCroix and Debra Ann McGlothin, 10 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great grandchildren, her sister; Donna Herchenrader, brothers; David (Debbie) and Michael Herchenraderand Cecil(Rita) Byers and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 12:00pm – 8:00pm, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025 and from 9:00am – 1:00pm, on Thursday, October 16, 2025, with funeral service to begin at 1:00pm, with her pastor Bob Caton officiating, on Thursday at Ratterman Southwest Funeral Home, 4832 Cane Run Rd., Louisville, KY 40216.
