Alvester Bouyer

Alvester (Al) Bouyer was born on February 26, 1940, in Georgetown, Georgia. He was the son of the late Leroy Bouyer Sr, and Marie Willis Bouyer.
Alvester accepted Christ at an early age. He joined the Berry Chapel Baptist Church. He served faithfully until he relocated to Brooklyn, New York in the late 1960s. Alvester was educated at the Kaigler Training School Georgetown, Georgia. He was employed at Leonard Security Company and Premier Mattress Company in Brooklyn, New York until he retired.
Alvester was united in holy matrimony to the love of his life Sarah Hall on July 10, 1970. Al as he was affectionately known was a loving father to many.
He departed this life on Friday, October 11, 2024. His parents, two sisters and four brothers all preceded him in death.
He leaves to cherish fond memories; his loving wife; Sarah Bouyer, two daughters; Pamela Griffin of Paterson, New Jersey, Tracy Bouyer of Eufaula, Alabama, one stepdaughter; Marilyn Woods of Eufaula, Alabama, two sisters; Mary Thomas of Georgetown, Georgia Deloris (Rodney) Hamilton of Tucson, AZ, Charlie (Marjorie) Bouyer of Cuthbert Georgia, and Leroy Bouyer Jr. (Geneva), two aunts; Lena (Otis) Winslett, of Gary, Indiana, Eunice King of Babylon, NY, one uncle; James Bouyer of Brooklyn, NY, three grandchildren; Cynthia Williams, Shykemia Williams, and Nadia Johnson and three great grandchildren; Navael, Grayson, and Katie. He is also survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Also surviving are a very special nephew whom he would always call his son, Rayfus, as well as two special friends, Wade, and Bill.
