Alvin Robert Brown

Alvin Robert Brown, 83, of Ashland, passed away on September 13, 2025 at Gentiva Hospice, in Ashland, Ohio.

Alvin was born June 21, 1942 in Oquawka, IL to Louis Milo and Margaret {Brewer} Brown.

He married Betty Dillon on March 9, 1964. She passed away on October 3, 2005.

Alvin first worked on the Railroad and for a Construction crew before opening his own business. He owned a certified Oil and Gas Station here in Ashland for 30+ years. He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Ashland. Alvin enjoyed Coon Hunting, raising Coon Dogs and Bluegrass music.

Alvin will be deeply missed by his children Alvin (Emma) Brown II of Ashland, Ivan Brown of Ashland, Margaret Brown of Ashland and Diana Brown of Ashland; 10 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren and his sisters Annie Hartman, Lucille Thompson and Bevey Liggett

Alvin was preceded in death by his parents and wife Betty.

Friends may visit Friday September 19, 2025 from 1 to 3 p.m. at Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel.
