Larry Allen Mumaw Sr., 82, of Ashland, passed away Saturday, August 23, 2025, at his daughter's home in Galloway.
Larry was born April 15, 1943 in Ashland to Chester Lawerence Mumaw Sr. and Della May {Dague} Mumaw.
He was formerly married to Roberta Weitzel, the beloved late mother of his children. He later married Darlene Leasure, to whom he was married for 33 years; she sadly passed away on January 3, 2023.
Larry dedicated over 44 years of service to National Latex in Ashland, where he was a hardworking and valued employee. In his spare time, Larry enjoyed camping and fishing. He especially cherished family trips to Canada, where he could fully embrace nature and create lasting memories. A passionate Harley-Davidson enthusiast, Larry enjoyed riding motorcycles and loved the freedom of the open road.
Larry was preceded in death by his daughter, Rebecca Shank. Larry will be deeply missed by children Carla (Ray) Martin of Galloway, Louise (Mark) Hunt of Ashland, and Larry Mumaw Jr. of Chillicothe; Several grandchildren, and great grandchildren.
Larry had many siblings and was preceded in death by his brothers Jack Perkins, Fred Perkins, Chester "Butch" Mumaw, David Mumaw, and Billy Mumaw, as well as his sisters Paulene Burkey-Lally, Jean Lux, and Geraldine Johnson. He is survived by his older sisters, Helen Sferra and Betty Coy.
A private ceremony will be held. Roberts Funeral Home-Ashland Chapel is assisting with arrangements. Burial will be at Ashland County Memorial Park. Online tributes may be made at www.RobertsFuneralHome.com.
