The "great detailer" issued final orders to AW1 Alvin Jonte' on
May 9, 2023. Alvin was my friend and shipmate for over 47 years. He was a man of many convictions and honor. I will miss him dearly. I wish his wonderful wife Barbara peace as she moves forward in a new phase of her life. Please join me in wishing Alvin the traditional Navy farewell of fair winds and following seas. We have the watch my friend! Until we meet and serve again. I love you my friend.
