Alvina Pauline Bramm passed away peacefully on June 26, 2025. She was born August 20, 1931 in Mosinee, WI to Felix and Veronica Gorski. She had 2 younger brothers, Marvin and Richard. In 1939 they moved to the family homestead in Bevent, WI.
Alvina married the love of her life, Roger Bramm, on October 21, 1950. They enjoyed 64 years of marriage before Roger died in November of 2014.
Alvina and Roger started their married life in Wausau, then moved to Milwaukee until 1968 when work for Roger at Glatfelters brought them to Neenah. They built a duplex on Meadow Lane where they lived until Roger passed away and Alvina moved into assisted living in 2022.
Alvina lived her Christian faith by providing childcare. She took into her home many children, loving them and caring for them as her own. They fondly called her Nana. Some still stay in touch. In one family, 4 siblings, Eric, Mike, Amanda, and Jenny were loved by her. They will deeply miss her. At one point, Alvina and Roger cared for a live in foster adult.
Alvina and Roger were founding, faithful members of St. Gabriel Church in Neenah. Alvina was active in various service groups including the funeral luncheon ladies, the yearly RoundUp and Church Caretakers. She could always be found in her spot at the 4:30 mass.
A few things you may not know about Alvina. She was an avid reader, clipped coupons, did needlepoint, liked beer with her popcorn and although she didn't understand baseball, she loved the Brewers.
But most of all, Alvine had a deep love for Jesus. She prayed the Rosary many times during the day. She had a book of prayers, one which was Walk With Me.
My Jesus, my friend, walk with me today.
Hand in hand, guide me to learn to know what is good.
Arm in arm, help me to grow in my faith & love for others.
Side by side, stay with me to protect me and show me your ways.
Heart to heart, help me to prove to be all you want me to be.
Thank you Jesus, for the special love you have for me. Amen.
In addition to Roger, Alvina was preceded in death by her brothers, Marvin and Richard. She is survived by 2 sisters-in-law, Lois and Alice and many nieces and nephews.
The Mass of Resurrection will be held 11:30 AM on Friday July 11, 2025, at St. Gabriel Catholic Church, 900 Geiger Street, Neenah, WI. A visitation will be from 10:30 AM until the time of service.
Alvina will be laid to rest at Restlawn Memorial Park, 235962 N Troy St, Wausau, WI 54403, on Monday July 14, 2025, at 11:00 AM.
Thank you to the staff at Copperstone Assisted Living, Bluestone Nurses, and Moments Hospice for their compassionate care.
