Lunda Jo Bramm, 78, of Rock Falls, died on March 5, 2024, at Dixon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center.
She was born on June 5, 1945, in Sterling, the daughter of Harry and Mildred (Palmer) Smith. She married Fredric "Rick" Bramm on October 17, 1970, in Morrison, Illinois. He preceded her in death on February 24, 2006. Lunda was a member of St. Andrew Catholic Church of Rock Falls. She worked as an LPN at CGH Medical Center of Sterling. She went on to work at Montmorency School of Rock Falls as a health and librarian aide and she retired in 2010. Lunda was a member of the Sterling and Rock Falls Amateur Radio Society and she sat on the board as the treasurer and secretary. She was also a proud member of the Rainbow Girls Society.
She is survived by her daughter, Sara (Austin) Swart of Freeport; three sons, Ryan (Chantel) Bramm of Granite City, Eric (Nadine) Bramm of Aurora, Craig (Rebecca Ward) Bramm of Rock Falls; four grandchildren, Ayden, Leah, Logan, and Isabella.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband; three brothers, Wayne, Gene, and Donald Smith.
A visitation will take place from 3PM-5PM on Sunday, March 10, 2024 at McDonald Funeral Home of Rock Falls. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Monday, March 11, 2024 at 10AM with Father Richard Russo of St. Andrews Catholic Church, officiating. The burial will conclude at Coloma Township Cemetery of Rock Falls.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to Serenity Hospice of Oregon and The Alzheimer's Association.
