Alyce F. Carroll, 90, born September 2, 1934, passed away peacefully in her sleep on October 7, 2024, at her residence in Muncie, IN.
Alyce worked 40 years as a medical transcriptionist at various hospitals in Indianapolis and Muncie, IN, as well as Sarasota and Leesburg, FL. She had a generous and caring spirit. She loved all animals, gardening, cooking (and eating), reading and spending time with family and friends. She was always ready with an opinion on pretty much any subject and enjoyed discussing current events. Alyce was feisty and sassy and loved making people laugh.
She is survived by her loving daughters, Robin Wasson of Gaston IN, Christine (Rob) Jenkins of Avon, IN Michelle (Jim) Spalding of Tipp City, OH, one son, Charles "Butch" Carroll of Tallahassee, FL, sister Melodee Christian of Niceville, FL, grandchildren Ryan Wasson, Alicia Jones (Eric Bair), Shane Bolton, Adrian (Roseanne) Jenkins, Amy Jenkins, great grandchildren Rylynn Wasson, Steven and Austin Bair, beloved cat Scooter, and several nieces, nephews and friends.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Minnie Irene (Brinkman) Diffenderfer and William Odie Dalton, Stepfather Charles Diffenderfer, brother Bill Dalton, longtime friend Dawn Snyder, and son-in-law Randy Wasson.
Per Alyce's wishes, no services are scheduled at this time. Indiana Funeral Care is honored to be assisting the family with arrangements.
