Baby Alyna Summer Lawson, born July 3, 2024 in Durham, North Carolina, gained her angel wings Friday, October 18, 2024 in Person County.
Although Alyna's time was brief, she touched the lives of many. She had a glowing smile and an infectious giggle.
She is preceded in death by her maternal great-grandfather, George "Butch" Cates.
She leaves to cherish precious memories, her mother, Destiny Storm and father, Richard Dale Lawson, Jr,; her sister, Wynter Lawson; her paternal grandparents: Linda Cameron McBride of the home and Richard Dale Lawson, Sr. of Durham, North Carolina; maternal grandmother, Carmen Clayton (Chris); great-grandparents: Linwood and Maggie Cameron of Timberlake, North Carolina; three aunts: Cheyenne Summer, Tracy Newman and Kristie Lawson; four uncles: Brandon Hicks, Dale Newman (Peaches), Sterling Newman and Joseph Smith; great-aunt, Doris Pettiford; great-uncle, Linwood Cameron, Jr. (Tasha); a host of cousins and other family members who loved her dearly; and "special others" who loved, cared and spent time with her on an almost daily basis: Demani Iree Rankin, Kimberly Daye and Shenique Bolton.
A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, October 23, 2024 at 2:00pm at New Hope Person Missionary Baptist Church, 1261 Tom Oakley Road, Timberlake, North Carolina 27583, with the Reverend Dr. W.L. Richardson, Pastor, providing the Words of Comfort. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
