Hazel Lee Moore

Mrs. Hazel L. Moore, age ninety, departed this life and entered into eternal rest Tuesday, August 26, 2025 at her home in Hurdle Mills, North Carolina. She was born in Person County June 20, 1935 to the late Dock Ragland and Onie Jones Ragland and was a member of Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church in Hurdle Mills.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by twelve siblings.

She leaves to cherish her precious memories, two children: Phyllis Moore of the home and Kevin Moore (Lisa) of Hurdle Mills; two grandchildren: Elethia Johnson and Tevin Moore, both of Hillsborough, North Carolina; three great-grandchildren: Mar'Vaia Parker and Jaya Parker, both of Hillsborough and Ja'Von Moore of Raleigh, North Carolina; a sister, Catherine Ragland of Hurdle Mills; a sister-in-law, Dorothy Moore of Carrboro, North Carolina; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other loving relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held Friday, August 29, 2025 at 1:00pm at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 3081 Hurdle Mills Church Road in Hurdle Mills 27541, with the Reverend Rufus Johnson, Pastor, officiating and providing the eulogy. Burial will follow at the Bradsher Family Cemetery, 3233 Union Grove Church Road, also in Hurdle Mills. He body will lie in state at the church from 12:00pm to 1:00pm, one hour prior to the service. The family will receive visitors from 12:30pm to 1:00pm.
