Alyssa Renét Jones, whose life was cut short by an accidental drowning in Lewisville, TX, had embarked on her final adventure on July 13, 2025. Born on a brisk autumn day, November 30, 2001, in Arlington, TX, Alyssa's life was a vibrant tapestry woven with laughter, daring escapades, and the kind of stories that could keep you entertained.
She grew up living back and forth with her parents between Hugo and Flower Mound, Texas, and then she settled in 2019 in Lewisville, TX and grew to be the kind of person who could light up a room with her friendly demeanor and adventurous spirit.
Alyssa's love for motorcycle riding, skateboarding and playing pool was only matched by her passion for being a mom to her two daughters, Mila Marie Welch and Ivory Kaami Harris. They were the true north of her compass, the epicenter of her world, and the legacy of her boundless love.
Alyssa is survived by her two daughters Mila Marie Welch and Ivory Kaami Harris; her father David Jones and his wife Shelly of Gainesville, TX; and her mother Robin (Gilley) Vick of Hugo; her siblings include, Chloe Vick and her partner Ben Thompson of Okmulgee, OK, Melody Vick of Hugo, OK, Jetta Vick of Lewisville, TX, Landen Jones of Sherman, TX, Samuel Jones and his fiancée Adriana Miller of Lewisville, TX, Zachary Dalton and his partner Scott Meadows of Pilot Point, TX, Danielle Pedraza and her husband Francisco of Yelm, WA, and Adilyn Masters of Gainesville, TX; niece Esther Pedraza, nephew Ryan Meadows, and nephew Abel Vick-Thompson.
To say Alyssa was friendly would be an understatement; she was the person who knew no strangers, only friends she hadn't met yet. She loved going out with friends and her adventurous soul led her to explore every nook and cranny of life, and her interesting anecdotes could keep you on the edge of your seat.
Alyssa's life was a reminder that the world is a stage, and she played her part with gusto and a wink. She may have taken her final curtain call, but the memories she leaves behind are like an encore that will resonate in the hearts of those who loved her forever.
Services are scheduled for Saturday, July 19, 2025, at 2:00 pm in the Mt. Olive Funeral Home Chapel, with a burial following in the Soper Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, from 6:00-7:00 pm, in the Mt. Olive Chapel at 303 N. 2nd Street, Hugo, OK 74743.
