Amada “Molly” Martinez, 84, of Abiquiu, New Mexico, entered eternal rest on December 29, 2025, of natural causes. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, mother-in-law, sister, aunt and friend.
In addition to her parents, Pedro and Sinforosa Abeyta, she was predeceased by her husband Gilbert and son Tim Martinez, and sister Luvella Reading.
She is survived by her four daughters, Brenda Martinez (Mike, deceased partner), Darlene Martinez (Steve, husband), Arlene Martinez (Felix, partner) and Anita Tafoya (Richard, husband); Lisa Martinez (daughter-in-law); four grandchildren, Alexandra Jaramillo, Gilbert and Bryan Martinez (Bryana, wife) and Shannon Snow (Tom, husband), 2 great-grandchildren, Elijah Snow and Lacey Martinez. She also leaves behind her sister Nora Lovato, and several nieces and nephews.
Molly worked at Ghost Ranch Conference Center as a head cook for 41 years. She was very well known for her delicious empanadas and biscochitos. She will always be remembered for her love and devotion to God. She watched and prayed the daily mass on EWTN (Catholic Channel) twice a day. Finally, her favorite pass times were watching baseball and spending time with her family.View All Photos
