Amado Nodarse Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Memorial Plan Westchester Funeral Home on Feb. 11, 2026.
Amado "Amadito" Salvador Nodarse, 86, passed away peacefully at his home on February 10, 2026. He was born in Cuba on March 18, 1939, to Florencio Nodarse and Magdalena Diaz.

Amadito arrived in Miami from Cuba around 1960, beginning his new life with determination and hard work. His first job was cleaning the Liberty Tower, a humble start that reflected his strong work ethic. Over the years, he held many roles, including driver at Leon Medical Center, salesperson, Burger King manager, airport technician, and door greeter-always known for his reliability, kindness, and welcoming smile.

He accomplished so much throughout his life, most significantly starting a new life in a new country and leaving a permanent legacy for his descendants. He made something out of nothing, fought for who he loved and what he believed in, and turned his dreams for a better life into reality.

A passionate traveler, Amadito truly loved exploring the world and proudly said he had been everywhere. He was also an avid sports fan, especially devoted to the Miami Dolphins and Florida Marlins, where he was a longtime season ticket holder.

Above all, Amadito cherished his family and the many roles he held in their lives-as a husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, son, brother, uncle, godfather, cousin, and friend. His name, Amado, means "one who is loved," and this was true to everyone who crossed his path. He was raised surrounded by women who loved and poured into him, and died surrounded by people who will always love him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
