Amanda Baratka Obituary
Amanda is survived by her son Caelob and daughter Taetym; her father, John C. Baratka; her mother, Pamela A. Baratka; her sister, Sarah Ann (Austin) Harris; her brother, Jack (Tricia) Baratka; and her nieces, Amiya, Marlee, Avery, and Maci.
Amanda was a devoted mother who was relentlessly compassionate for her family. She lived with selflessness and care to bless every person involved in her life. Amanda enjoyed spending time reading, cooking, and staying involved in Caelob and Taetym's hockey teams. Amanda always wanted to do everything she could to help others through hard times.
She was devoted to improving the lives of people around her. Her memory provides strength to those who loved her and will live on in good spirits.
A memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, January 4th, from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at Hallowell & James Funeral Home, 301 75th St., Downers Grove with a memorial service at 6:00 PM. Additional info: (630) 964-6500

Amanda was an incredibly amazing person. she always put others before her, and she would do everything in her power to help people in need. she dedicated her life to bringing light into others lives

I am heartbroken to hear of Amanda's passing! I worked with Amanda at Marianos and we would always spend time talking everyday. She always talked about her son and daughter and was so very proud of her children, they were the most important part of her life. Amanda was the most genuine, caring, wonderful person I have ever met.
