Leaving behind a legacy of love, and the blessing of a well lived and celebrated life, Michael Murillo was born in Chicago, Illinois, on June 13, 1935, to Aurelia Cervantes and Bartolo Murillo. He passed away peacefully on Monday, March 16, 2026, at home surrounded by loved ones at the age of 90.

An incredibly hard working man, Michael retired after 45 years of service at Burlington Northern Santa Fe at 62. He always loved traveling especially with his grandchildren and held fast to the values of dedication, integrity and honesty.

Brother of the late Lupe, Catty, Mary, Carmen, Rudy and Manuel, Michael is also survived by his sisters, Tonia (the late Rudy Aranda), Pancha, his sisters-in-law, Vivian and Marianne as well as several nephews, nieces & cousins.
