Amanda Dawn Canter

Amanda Dawn “Mandy” Canter, age 38, of Bristol, Va., went to be with the Lord on Thursday, November 27, 2025, at Bristol Regional Medical Center.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Charles William Scott; and maternal grandparents, Jerry and Charlotte Canter.

Mandy is survived by her mother, Mary Canter Scott and husband, Michael, of Bristol, Tenn.; three children, Jacob Young, Christopher Young, and Katelynn Logsdon, all of Bristol, Va.; brother, Matthew Canter, of Bristol, Va.; sister, Cammy Scott and fiancé, Bryson Knight, of Bristol, Tenn.; two aunts, Tammy Moore and husband, Ronnie, and Christine Shaffer, all of Bristol, Va.; uncle, Jerry Canter, of Bristol, Tenn.; fiancé, Freddie Barr, Jr. of Bristol, Tenn.; close friend, Richard Logsdon, of Bristol, Va.; several nieces, nephews and cousins; and loyal companion, Bella.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Eastern Heights Presbyterian Church Cemetery, 431 Old Jonesboro Rd., Bristol, TN 37620, with Pastor Scott Kain officiating.

Freddie Wayne Barr, Jr., Bryson Knight, Richard Logsdon, Michael Scott, Christopher Young, and Jacob Young will serve as pallbearers.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the congregation of Victory Bible Fellowship of East Tennessee, the family of Bryson Knight and those who have assisted in the family’s time of need.
