Amanda Carol Ludlow, 47, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 13, 2025. She was born November 3, 1977, in Terre Haute, Indiana, to David and Sheila Stultz. Amanda worked as an animal researcher in Terre Haute at LFM Quality Laboratories, Inc. Amanda graduated with honors from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in 2024 with a bachelor of science degree in Equine and Pre-Veterinary Studies. During her time at SMWC, she consistently made the Dean's List and was a proud legacy Woods Ring recipient. She also earned most improved sophomore equine student and equine student of the year the following year. She was selected as the College’s barn chore team captain and was also a student member of the Collegiate Horsemen Association. Amanda was in the process of her acceptance into Veterinarian School at Saint George’s University.
Amanda loved being a mother, her greatest accomplishment was her children. She unwaveringly gave her time for over 18 years to her children’s Vigo County 4H clubs. Her passion was working with livestock, especially horses. She was also very creative with crafts making almost all the decorations in her home by hand. She was also a successful hair stylist before pursuing her higher education. She will be remembered as a loving mother, wife, daughter, sister and Aunt A.
She is preceded in death by her father, David Stultz. She is survived by her mother, Sheila Stultz, husband, Ed Ludlow, children, Dalten Chambers, Emma Chambers, Michael Chambers, and Robbie Ludlow, sisters, Bekka Jackson (Cedric) and their son, Kace, Sarah Mahady (Brandon) and their children, Madison and Lillian, a sister-in-law, Emily Ludlow, and her children, Brayden and Brylee Grimes. Also surviving are mother-in-law and father-in-law, Cathy and John Ludlow.
Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, September 18, 2025, from 4 - 8 p.m. at Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, Indiana, 47885.
Mass of Catholic Burial will be on Friday, September 19, 2025, beginning at 2 p.m. in the Church of the Immaculate Conception, 3301 St. Mary’s Road, West Terre Haute, Indiana, 47885.
