Mrs. Amanda Harris Prus, a native of Mobile, AL, and longtime resident of Cincinnati, OH, passed away on April 4, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. Amanda was born on July 15, 1960 in Sylacauga, AL, to Warren C. Harris and Jeanne B. Harris. She is survived by her husband of 37 years, William J. Prus, and their twin children, Thomas W. Prus and Julia P. (Stephen) Hostelley. She leaves her two sisters, Melissa H. (John) Roombos and Rebecca H. (Jeffery) Grizzle, as well as aunts, cousins, nieces, nephews, and other family. Amanda received her Bachelor's Degree from the University of South Alabama and her Master's Degree in marketing statistics from the University of Georgia. She then moved to Cincinnati to begin her career at Burke, Inc., a market research firm.
Amanda will be remembered for her caring and thoughtful nature, her incredible intellect, and her love of learning. She was fierce in her faith and furthered the spiritual journey of countless acquaintances, friends, and family members. Amanda was most at home working in her garden and looking for seashells on the beach. She was a staunch Alabama football fan and an avid reader. Amanda was a devoted mother, wife, sister, and friend, and will be sorrowfully missed by many.
The service for Mrs. Amanda Prus will be held on Friday, April 11, 2025, at 11am at Milford First United Methodist Church, located at 541 Main Street in Milford, OH.
The family will receive friends and family prior to the service, from 9:30am to 11am on Friday, April 11, at Milford First United Methodist Church.
Memorial donations can be made in Amanda's name to Milford First United Methodist Church, the Cincinnati Nature Center, or Whiz Kids Tutoring at City Gospel Mission. Donations made in Amanda's name to Milford First United Methodist Church will be put in a memorial fund, to be used for Adult Discipleship Ministries.
