Amanda Rich Obituary
Amanda Lynn Rich, 33, passed away peacefully March 4, 2026, at OhioHealth Hospice House (formerly Kobacker House) with loved ones at her bedside.
Amanda is survived by her life partner and best friend Christopher Walker, parents Julie Rich and Robert Rich (Tamara), brother Lee (Brittney), nieces Allison and Hailey, nephew Benjamin, sister Sarah Kinney, aunts, uncles and cousins, and her cat Midnight. She is preceded in death by her brother Brice Kinney and her maternal and paternal grandparents.
Amanda enjoyed talking with her friends and family, discussing food, travel, TV shows, and movies. She loved fashion and makeup and enjoyed the opportunity to get dressed up for outings. When she was in grade school she volunteered at St. Raphael Nursing Home, and as a young teenager helped lead the formation of the Junior Women's Club at St. Christopher Church.
Amanda was diagnosed at age 14 with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome, and then diagnosed with Lupus several years ago. Amanda showed great dignity, resilience, and tenacity as she endured many physical challenges and medical procedures during the last 20 years. Her corneas were donated after death, and thanks to her gift, someone will now be able to see. Amanda's affection and spirit will be missed by everyone who loved her.
The family will receive friends from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, March 9, 2026, at Schoedinger Northwest, 1740 Zollinger Rd. Columbus 43221. Funeral Mass 4:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 10 at St. Christopher Church, 1320 Grandview Ave., Columbus, 43212.
