Amanda Lynn Smith, a cherished soul born on May 13, 2002, in Fayetteville, North Carolina, tragically passed away on January 25, 2026, in the same city. In her brief yet impactful life, Amanda’s vibrant personality shone through her diverse interests and passions, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of those who knew her.
Amanda was known for her culinary skills, often bringing joy to family and friends with her delicious dishes. She found serenity in nature, spending many days fishing, where she felt connected to the beauty around her. A true creative, Amanda expressed herself through art and had a remarkable skill in 3D printing, showcasing her innovative spirit.
Her love for automobiles, particularly her fondness for Miata's, led her to partake in gatherings like the Miata's at the Gap at Tale of the Dragon, where enthusiasts convened to celebrate their shared passion. Amanda's enthusiasm for life was also mirrored in her affection for her beloved fur babies—Scrappy, Chaos, and Sammy—who were a significant part of her daily joy.
In life, Amanda shared a close bond with her fiancé, Perry Emanuel Turpin, who was a steadfast partner by her side for 12 years. She is also survived by her brother, Adam Diehm, her maternal grandfather, Alan Geddes, and her aunt, Patricia Geary. These family members will remember her not only for her talents and interests but for the love and light she brought into their lives.
Amanda was preceded in death by her mother, Cheri Smith, her brother, Erin Poole, and her maternal grandmother, Wanda Geddes all of whom she will be lovingly remembered by her surviving family.
The family will hold a service at a later date, allowing relatives and friends to gather and celebrate the life of Amanda Lynn Smith—a remarkable individual whose spirit and love will remain in the hearts of many.
