Amanda Sue Swafford, age 45, of Brownstown, Illinois passed away on Wednesday, January 17, 2024 in the comfort of her home.
A Celebration of Life will take place at a later time. Memorials may go to the donor's choice.
Amanda was born on October 1, 1978 in Daytona Beach, Florida, the daughter of Ronald E. and Mary Ann (Stien) Swafford. Amanda loved working as a cna, when it came to taking care of people, loved babysitting kids, but would never take any money for doing it, and was also known for helping people that were in need of financial help. She loved being creative while drawing and coloring and carried a special place in her heart for animals, especially her parrot and best friend, Rocky.
She is survived by her dad, Ronald Swafford of St. James; mom, Mary Ann Swafford of Texas; brother, John Swafford (wife Janetia) of Brownstown and Ronald Swafford Jr. of Vandalia; sisters, Tracey Swafford of Texas and Mindy Swafford of Olney.
She is preceded in death by her grandparents and her beloved parrot, JoJo.
