Obituary published on Legacy.com by Neal & Summers Funeral and Cremation Center on Jan. 6, 2026.
It is with great sadness and broken hearts that we announce and accept the loss of a loving wife, mother, daughter, grammy, and sister, Amber Nicole Martin, age 47, a Morgan County resident, who tragically passed away as the result of injuries sustained in an accident on New Year's Eve. Amber entered eternal rest on Thursday, January 1, 2026, at Sidney & Lois Eskenazi Hospital in
Indianapolis, Indiana. Amber's life began on Tuesday, February 21, 1978, in
Indianapolis, Indiana, where she was born to David Wilson and Vicki (Wood) Wilson. She was a proud graduate of Arsenal Technical High School in Indianapolis. Amber was a member of Elks Lodge #1349 and a former member of the Martinsville Moose Lodge. She devoted most of her life to being a dedicated homemaker. Amber leaves her family with a lifetime of cherished memories filled with laughter, love, and fun times. She was an avid lover of music and enjoyed attending concerts, was an enthusiastic reader, and took great pride in her cow collection. She was a devoted dirt bike mom and race scoring official. A true "hippie at heart," Amber loved tie-dye and rock 'n' roll. She also found joy in planting flowers and proudly embraced being a Chevy truck girl. Above all, Amber was most proud of her family. She adored her grandchildren and was joyfully awaiting the arrival of her fourth grandchild, expected in July. Amber's memory will be forever cherished by her loving family, including her husband of just over 23 years, Randy Warren Martin of Martinsville. Amber and Randy were united in marriage on November 2, 2002. She also leaves behind her children, Kylee Kinnaman (Justin), Kyndle Martin (Kaden), and Bo Martin (Cheyanne), all of Martinsville; her father and stepmother, David and Diana Wilson of Cloverdale, Indiana; her mother, Vicki Wilson of Indianapolis; her brother, Caleb Scalf (Marisa) of Greenwood, Indiana; her sister, Perri Scalf (Conner) of Indianapolis; her grandchildren, Jettson Martin and Jamison, and Jayce; her mother-in-law, Patty Martin of Morgantown, Indiana; and her stepbrothers, Joe, Rick, and Josh Lacey. She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Karen Wood and Virginia M. Caldwell; her brother, Ethan Scalf; her father-in-law, Ronnie Martin; and her grandparents-in-law, Bud Warren and Lois Louise Martin. Family and friends are invited to visit on Thursday, January 8, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Neal & Summers Funeral & Cremation Center. A service celebrating Amber's life will begin at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, immediately following the visitation at the funeral home. Amber will be laid to rest at Nebo Memorial Park Cemetery in Martinsville. Amber's family requests that everyone dress casually and or wear tie-dye.
