Ambrose N. Dalo, 94, of Sicklerville, N.J., passed away Sept. 3 at his home where he resided with his grandson, Daniel (Amy) Soulliard, their daughter, Evee, and grandson, Richard Klein.
He was the husband of the late Eulalie Pennay Dalo.
A graduate of Hazleton High School, Class of 1946, he worked with his father, owner of Dalo's Bakery, Hazleton. He was drafted into the U.S. Army, where he served from 1951 to 1953. Upon discharge from the U.S. Army, he joined the U.S. Air Force, from which he retired (1953 to 1973).
He received his master's degree in business administration from Rutgers University in 1979. He was a business administrator at Hahnemann University Hospital Anesthesiology Department in Philadelphia for 17 years.
Born in Hazleton, he was the son of Nicholas and Jennie (Greco) Dalo.
Surviving are a son, William (Elaine) Soulliard, New Jersey; a daughter, Betty Jean (Bruce) Tepper, California; three sisters, Joan (late Lawrence) Libonati, Lititz; Annette (late Michael) Cannon, Lansford; Rosemary (Dominic) Bianco, Lititz; five grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his son, Leonard Soulliard; daughters, Ruth Ann Johnson and Joni Thomas; and two sisters, Anne (late Joseph) Shershen and Gloria (Hugh) Grier, Hazleton.
Funeral services will be held from 9:30 to 11 a.m. Sept. 23 at McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Washington Twp., N.J.
Internment with military honors will follow in Gloucester Veterans Memorial Cemetery and contributions in his name may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
