On October 13, 2025, Amelia Marie Carter passed from this life. She was born on November 8, 1991 to Frank and Amanda Neal.
Amelia was a life long resident of Jackson and attended Jackson Public Schools. She was an art student at Power APAC, played on the soccer team and was band manager at Jim Hill High School where she graduated in 2011. She attended Hinds Community College.
Amelia participated in Mission Fest with the Methodist Church for two summers. She worked at several places with the last job being with United Parcel Services where she was on the safety committee. She was one of the most conscientious employees they had.
Amelia is survived by her parents, Her husband, Brian K. Carter, a daughter, Maddie Carter, and stepchildren, Keia, Brian, and Brianna Carter. She leaves behind a brother, Andrew Neal and two uncles, Danny and Pat McKittrick, as well as her mother in law, Bobby J. Carter and father in law, Ulysses L. Jones, her sisters in law, Deloris Carter, LaShunn Jones Brown, Karen Jones, Estell Jones Palmer, and brothers in law, Michael and Ryan Jones, along with many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will have a Celebration of Life for Amelia at Chancellor Funeral Home in Byram, MS, on Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 12 pm with a Visitation from 10 am until 12pm, the hour of service.
