Amelia (Przygoda) Drozdowski, aged 93, of Cumberland, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, May 28, 2025, at Stillwater Nursing Home in Smithfield. She was the beloved wife of the late Edward Drozdowski Jr.
Born in Taunton, MA, Amelia was the cherished daughter of the late Joseph and Aniela (Izdepska) Przygoda. She had been a resident of Cumberland since 1956, having previously lived in Pawtucket.
Amelia dedicated many years of her life working as a Sales Associate for JC Penny in North Attleboro. She was a devout former communicant of St. Aidan Church and an active member of the St. Aidan Seniors.
She is survived by her loving nieces and nephews: Carol Ann Canty and her husband John of Duxbury, MA; Lori Davis and her husband Glenn of Bermuda; Janice Anthony and her husband Charlie of Coventry, RI; Joanne Zedella and her husband John of Vancouver, WA; Jodi Parker and her husband Stephen of Norton, MA; Steven Pasiuk and his wife Karen of St. Augustine, FL; and John Przygoda and his wife Janet of East Greenwich, RI. Amelia also leaves behind many great nieces and great nephews.
Amelia was predeceased by her siblings, John Pryzgoda, Walter Przygoda, Helen Lichacz, Ann Pasiuk, and Stephanie Slapik, as well as her niece, Linda Lineback of Carlisle, MA.
Relatives and friends are invited to celebrate Amelia's life with a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday, June 19, at 11 AM at St. Aidan/St. Patrick Church, Diamond Hill Road, Cumberland. Burial will follow at Notre Dame Cemetery in Pawtucket. The family will receive guests one hour prior to the mass.
