It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Amelie Germana Saint Louis, who peacefully departed on Friday, March 29, 2024, in the comfort of her own home. Amelie, 89 years young, was born on February 9, 1935, in Plaisance, Haiti, to the late Americ Germana and Diane Pean. She was the beloved eldest of six siblings, one of whom preceded her in death.

Throughout her life, Amelie was a dedicated elementary school teacher and homemaker. In 1954, she married the late Jean Saint Louis, and together they were blessed with five children. Amelie found joy in simple pleasures, spending her leisure time crocheting and reading the pages of her cherished Bible. Her unwavering faith led her to pray for and with others, spreading warmth and kindness wherever she went. Amelie had a warm smile, embodying love, care, and compassion. To know her was to love her.

Amelie leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories, forever etched in the hearts of her children: Armelle Saint Louis, Marie Francoise Gibson, Francois MPG Erick Saint Louis, and Jean Andre Saint Louis. She is also survived by her twelve grandchildren, twenty-five great-grandchildren, and a multitude of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will forever hold her dear in their hearts.

Though she may have departed from this earthly realm, Amelie's spirit lives on in the lives she touched and the love she shared. May her soul find eternal peace, and may her memory continue to inspire and comfort those who knew and loved her. Forever in our hearts.
